Great fishing during April carp are showing well and silver fish are plentiful.
Fish of the month a 21 pound grass carp taken on floating bread by Kilshy from Killgetty.
 Llyn Carfan now has hard standing from the carpark up to and including a section of the waters edge. Originally designed for disabled access but suitable for all anglers. Bookings are now being taken for touring caravans for 2012.
In 1984 Llyn Carfan was the first fishery to introduce carp into Pembrokeshire. The original lake has now been joined by a second lake, increasing the total surface area to close on 3 acres. Several varieties are present and include commons, leathers, and grass carp along with tench,roach and rudd. Many fish are over 20lbs and a record 31.2bs common carp has been landed. You will not find any traffic noise at this beautiful location. Both lakes have well-maintained, open banks with easy access. Although there are no fixed pegs, visitors will find this more of an asset than otherwise. There is the additional facility of being able to take your car almost to the water’s edge nearly all around the main lake.
